Sat 6th February
Malachians beat Downpatrick FC in the 2nd round of the Clarence Cup. The Mals came from behind twice to win 3-2 in a very open contest played at great pace and in a really sporting manner. Anto Crawford scored a screamer to level just after half-time and Micky Smyth got the second equaliser from Mark McCourt's superb pass. McCourt was at the heart of the winner with a great cross which the keeper deflected off his centre-half. Ciaran Devlin and Paul Prigent were jointly given the man of the match plaudit by manager Lyttle click here for report
The seconds won well against Barn Utd 4-2 with Esser getting two and James Moore and Patrick Lowe the other scorers. Decky Sherlock was the managers man of the match.
The Shamrocks continued their recent impressive form with a 3-0 win to make it a treble for the club. Fisher McVeigh, Nial Devine and Marty Ryan scored the goals. Paul Walsh was assistant manager Paul Fullerton's man of the match. For a match report click here
