Malachians had to battle hard to defeat a strong Derriaghy CC side 2-0 away in the Border Cup. Captain Maestro Smyth scored the first goal and Mark McCourt settled the tie late on. Paul Prigent was man of the match. For a match report of the game click here
The seconds defeated Dunmurry Rec seconds 2-0 at the Stadium of Sand. Squiggs and Michael McVeigh got the Mals goals.

It's official, the local derby is on....again! Mals have been drawn against neighbours and hosts Grove Utd in the third round of the Steel and Sons Cup on Sat 11th September ko 2.30pm, the referee will be Alan Hayes. After being turned over by Grove last season as they progressed to an historic Border Cup victory, Mals will be keen to get their own back this time. Both clubs are looking forward to crossing swords once again.
